Day 2 – 4: Kruger National Park – South Africa
Days two to four follow a similar theme, but every day is different as who knows what will present itself on a day in the bushveld.
Our professional driver/guide collects us early in the morning as this is the ideal time to see many animals. The wildlife congregates at the waterholes first thing in the morning and usually linger in this area until the sun reaches its zenith when it’s nap time in the shade for the animals. Our guide is amazingly knowledgeable about the bushveld and its inhabitants and shares this knowledge and his stories with guests.
We enjoy a packed, picnic breakfast in the park and visit Skukuza Camp, which is the largest camp in Kruger. It boasts restaurants, a deli and curio shop, as well as wifi facilities.
Late in the afternoon, we head back to camp, where we can relax by the riverside, take a plunge in the rock pool or just dangle our feet in the cool water, G&T in hand. Dinner is served, under the stars, by the riverside. Afterwards, we reminisce by the campfire with our fellow travellers before falling into our beds after an event-filled day.

Today we are collected early for our final wildlife viewing drive in Kruger National Park. This is a last opportunity to find those elusive animals that have escaped our notice so far. With packed breakfast and cameras at the ready, we head into the park. We spend a couple of hours on our final game drive before returning to our riverside camp. There we are collected in our air-conditioned vehicle for the journey back to Johannesburg, arriving in the late afternoon. Our 5 Day Kruger Park Riverside Luxury Camping Safari has come to an end.
