Itinerary for this Tour
Day 1: Johannesburg to Kruger National Park – South Africa
Boarding our air-conditioned vehicle, we leave the hustle and bustle of Johannesburg behind and head for the African bushveld. Our journey takes us via the renown Panorama Route, which winds alongside the Blyde River Canyon and provides excellent photo opportunities of the many spectacular viewpoints. Look out for the smaller animals that inhabit this area, such as vervet monkeys, baboons and antelope. We visit the village of Pilgrims’ Rest, a relic of the days of the gold rush and preserved to recreate life in a 19th-century boom town. Arriving at our camp, alongside the Sabie River, at around 14H00, we take some time to freshen up before we head out on our first exhilarating game viewing drive into the African bush, going in search of the abundant wildlife inhabiting this vast national park.
Look out for the wildlife heading to the waterholes as they begin to stir from their midday naps. As sunset approaches, we return to our riverside camp to prepare for dinner in the boma close to the river. As night falls we gather around the campfire chatting with our fellow travellers before making our way to our luxury tents and a good nights’ rest.
Day 2: Kruger National Park – South Africa
We’re up with the sun this morning ready for our full day’s game drive in Kruger National Park. Our professional guide collects us at our camp in open, 4×4 safari vehicles. The vehicle’s open sides give the feeling of being immersed in the bush and the raised vantage is ideal for spotting wildlife and birdlife, as well as offering excellent photo opportunities. The day is spent exploring Kruger National Park in search of the BIg 5, the many other species resident here and the prolific birdlife. Our knowledgeable guide is a fountain of information on the African bush and the wildlife and entertains us with his facts and stories. We enjoy our packed breakfast at one of the camps in Kruger and take many breaks to stretch our legs and refresh ourselves. We visit Skukuza, Kruger’s largest camp, which boasts restaurants, a deli and an internet cafe.
As the day draws to a close it’s time to head back to our camp for our welcome dinner and an evening of re-living the exciting events of the day.

Kruger hosts an awe-inspiring variety of wild animals, plants, reptiles, birds, trees, amphibians and even fish across its wide range of landscapes and ecosystems.
