Itinerary for this Tour
Day 1: Johannesburg to Kruger National Park – South Africa
This 4 Day-Riverside Luxury Camping Safari leaves Johannesburg behind as we head out in our air-conditioned vehicle for our transfer to Kruger National Park.
We take the scenic route travelling via the Panorama Route famous for the magnificent view of the Blyde River Canyon – the third largest canyon in the world. This winding 33 km route takes us past many scenic viewpoints such as God’s Window, Lisbon Falls and Graskop Falls. We stop for a while in quirky Pilgrim’s Rest, a town stuck in the 19th century recreating life as it was in a gold rush boom town.
Moving on we arrive at our camp nestled on the banks of the Sabie River. We take a quick break to refresh ourselves as it’s time to go on our first wildlife viewing drive. Our professional guide takes us out in open, 4×4 safari vehicles, designed to give the best viewing experience. We spend about three hours marvelling at the abundance of wildlife in this diverse landscape.
As the sun begins to set we make our way back to camp to relax with a pre-dinner drink by the riverside and prepare for dinner served in the boma on the riverbank under the stars.
Days 2 & 3: Kruger National Park – South Africa
Days two and three follow a similar theme but no two days are the same in the African bush.
We are up early and leave soon after daybreak on our full day of wildlife viewing in Kruger National Park. Early morning is an excellent time to see many animals as they make their way to the watering holes for an early morning drink. Our driver/guide is bushveld fundi and entertains us with stories and interesting information about the sights we see and the bushveld generally. Home to the Big 5 and many other species and spectacular birdlife, the game drives are sure to be an exciting day of wildlife spotting.
We take breaks during our day to enjoy our packed breakfast, stretch our legs and visit Skukuza camp.
Late in the afternoon, we head back to camp. There’s time for a swim in the rock pool or just sit back with a G&T and listen to the sounds of nature. Once again dinner is served under the stars on the riverbank.
Day 4: Kruger National Park to Johannesburg – South Africa
Sadly the last day of our adventure has arrived, but there is still time for one last venture into Kruger Park. A final opportunity to add to our spotting list. Once again we take our packed breakfast to enjoy in the park.
Arriving back at camp our driver collects us for the transfer back to Johannesburg in our air-conditioned vehicle, where this 4 Day Kruger Park Riverside Luxury Camping Safari comes to an end.
